Tanifa Ahmed, co-spokesperson of the Students Against Discrimination , tragically passed away in a road accident while traveling from Chittagong to Cox’s Bazar.
Tanifa was involved in the accident on the night of April 2, 2025, at 10:30 PM. The news was confirmed by fellow spokesperson Umama Fatema on Facebook, who expressed deep grief over Tanifa’s sudden passing. Fatema highlighted that Tanifa was deeply committed to the student movement and worked with passion and sincerity.
Her death has left the organization in mourning. Fatema described Tanifa not just as a leader, but as someone who tirelessly worked for the movement’s ideals and values. She also expressed that Tanifa’s untimely death represents an irreplaceable loss for the organization.
In this sorrowful moment, Fatema prayed for Tanifa’s soul and asked Allah to grant her a high rank in Jannat al-Firdaus. The organization has vowed to support Tanifa’s grieving family and colleagues during this difficult time.
