A construction worker has been killed after being hit by a truck in the capital’s Nandipara area of Sabujbagh. The deceased was identified as Md Zahid Mian, 22. According to his brother- in- law Riaz, Zahid came out from his Nandipara house for his work place on Sunday morning.
When he was crossing the intersection of Nandipara Road No. 9 around 9:30 am a truck knocked him down, leaving him injured. Zahid was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s emergency department at 10:10 am, where doctors declared him dead, Riaz said.
Liberty News’ local correspondent reports that Zahid’s body was kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
