Bangladesh recorded five new deaths and 36 fresh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning, according to data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With these additions, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 20,51,978, while the death toll reached 29,515.
Health authorities tested 621 samples during the reporting period, yielding a daily positivity rate of 5.80%.
The overall positivity rate stands at 13.05%, and the fatality rate based on confirmed infections remains at 1.44%, the DGHS said.
