CUCSU polls : Nomination papers to be distributed from today

The Election Commission for CUCSU polls will start distributing nomination papers among aspirant candidates from today. The final voter list will also be published online today.

The nomination papers will be distributed at the Election Commission office from 9:30am to 3:30pm everyday till Wednesday.

The elections will be held on 12 October, for 28 posts at the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU), and 16 posts in each of the student dormitories.
Chief Election Commissioner Prof M Monir Uddin has told reporters that aspirant candidates will have to pay Tk200 for collecting the nomination paper for a single hall union post, and Tk300 for a central union post. They will also have pay an additional Tk350 for dope tests.

If a candidate tests positive for drug abuse he will be automatically disqualified.
