At least eight people lost their lives, and five others sustained critical injuries in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a microbus on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway in Lohagara upazila on Wednesday morning.
The tragic accident occurred around 7:30 AM in the Chunati Jangalia area, police confirmed.
Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Arifur Rahman stated that the impact of the crash was severe, leaving multiple casualties at the scene.
Emergency responders rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, while authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.
