Dhaka Board leads in HSC pass rate, Cumilla falls behind others

Liberty News Desk

Dhaka Education Board recorded the highest pass rate among all boards, while Cumilla Board ranked lowest in the results for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, which were published Thursday morning.

The national pass rate is 58.83% across nine general education boards, the madrasa board, and the technical education board.

The overall pass rate has dropped by 18.95 percentage points compared with last year’s results. This year, 69,097 students achieved the highest grade point average (GPA-5), dropping by 52.64% from last year.

Education authorities said the lower success rate this year reflects stricter evaluation and a more rigorous assessment process.
