The local government and rural development ministry has appointed Mahmudul Hasan, an official at the ministry’s Local Government Division, as the administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Mahbuba Irin, joint secretary at the city corporation-1 wing, announced the decision in a notification on Monday.
Mahmudul Hasan will execute the duties as a DSCC administrator, in addition to his current responsibilities in the Local Government Division, the notification read.
Mahmudul Hasan has been serving as the director general of the division’s wing that deals with planning, monitoring, evaluation and inspection.
On 29 October, Md Shahjahan Mia, the previous DSCC administrator, was withdrawn from the post.
