Dhaka University will shift all academic activities to online platforms from Sunday (30 Nov) in an effort to keep the academic schedule running smoothly amid disruptions caused by recent earthquakes and aftershocks.

According to a statement issued by the university’s public relations office, department chairpersons and institute directors have been instructed to begin conducting online classes in coordination with their respective deans.

The online system will remain in place until further notice.

Meanwhile, an engineering inspection team is currently assessing several university buildings that sustained damage during the recent tremors.

Their recommendations will guide the next steps in renovation work.

The university also stated that a decision regarding the upcoming winter vacation will be announced after the inspection team submits its report.
