Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Mohammad Ejaz inaugurated two key roads in the city ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday morning, aiming to ease traffic and improve accessibility for residents.

The two newly inaugurated roads are the Mirpur DOHS-Diayabari link road and the road from Uttara Azimpur Kacha Bazaar to Chamurkhana in Ward 18. The DNCC Administrator expressed his commitment to completing the roadworks during Ramadan and ensured their timely completion ahead of the Eid holiday.

In his remarks, Ejaz emphasized that the newly constructed roads were designed with the festive rush in mind, alleviating traffic woes for Eid travelers. The 3.6 km stretch from Azimpur Kacha Bazaar to Chamurkhana has also been completed and is now operational.

The Administrator further shared that the construction of the Airport to Kawla road will be completed shortly after Eid. He also mentioned that road repairs across key city routes are nearly finished, with smooth, even roads now in place.

Ejaz acknowledged some delays in project completion, attributing them to challenges with contractors, but reassured the public that all work is being carried out in compliance with PPR rules.

Liberty News’ correspondent states that the inauguration event was attended by key DNCC officials, including CEO Abu Saeed Mohammad Kamruzzaman and senior engineering staff.
