Dr. Muhammad Yunus leaves for China

On a four-day trip, Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has left Dhaka for China. He departed at 1 p.m. on Wednesday via a special flight of China Southern Airlines.

Dr. Yunus will attend the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan, China, on Thursday. The following day, Friday, he will have an official meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall in Beijing.

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen mentioned in a press briefing on Tuesday that Dr. Yunus is visiting China at the invitation of the Chinese government. The visit is expected to result in several agreements and memoranda of understanding being signed between the two nations.
