The much-anticipated Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2025 has officially commenced, with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus inaugurating the event. This year, the fair is themed “July Uprising: Building a New Bangladesh.”
The grand inauguration took place on Saturday (February 1) at 4:00 PM in the Bangla Academy premises. Dr. Yunus formally declared the fair open during a ceremonial event.
The inauguration began with the National Anthem, marking the start of the annual literary celebration. Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque, President of Bangla Academy, presided over the event, while Professor Mohammad Azam, Director General of Bangla Academy, delivered the welcome speech.
Additionally, Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of literature in shaping the nation’s future.
