A new restaurant named WOOHOO is set to open in central Dubai this September, offering a futuristic dining experience powered by artificial intelligence. Located near the Burj Khalifa, WOOHOO will feature menus and ambience curated by an AI culinary model named “Chef Aiman”—a blend of “AI” and “man”.

Developed by hospitality firm Gastronaut, Chef Aiman has been trained on decades of food science data and thousands of global recipes. It builds dishes by analyzing molecular elements like texture and acidity, then suggesting unique combinations. These creations are fine-tuned by human chefs, led by renowned Dubai-based chef Reif Othman, ensuring that human taste remains at the center.

Chef Aiman also promotes sustainability by creating recipes that incorporate food scraps such as fat and meat trimmings, often discarded in traditional kitchens.

While the food will still be prepared by humans, the AI’s role is to spark creativity and reduce waste. WOOHOO’s founders plan to license the technology globally, aiming to reshape how restaurants innovate and manage ingredients.
