Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) General Secretary SM Farhad will marry Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) leader Jannatul Ferdous Sanjida on Wednesday.
The marriage will take place at Katabon Mosque in the capital, according to sources close to Farhad’s family.
Sources said Sanjida hails from Feni district. Although she keeps a low public profile in her personal life, she remains active in student politics.
DUCSU Executive Member Raihan Uddin announced the wedding in a Facebook post on Tuesday night. He sought prayers and extended best wishes to the couple, expressing hope for a happy married life.
Alongside his role at DUCSU, Farhad serves as president of Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Dhaka University unit. He studied at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research at Dhaka University in the 2017–18 academic session.
