The Election Commission (EC) has decided to ban the use of posters during campaigns in the upcoming national election, while allowing candidates to use new leaflets. The announcement was made by Election Commissioner Abul Fazl Md Sanaullah at the EC headquarters in Dhaka on 19 June.

Commissioner Sanaullah said the draft of the electoral code of conduct has been finalized and will soon be published online for public feedback. While posters are prohibited, candidates can still use billboards, banners, festoons, and social media platforms for their campaigns.

The decisions were made during an EC meeting addressing key issues, including constituency delimitation and the 2025 code of conduct for political parties and candidates, ahead of the 13th parliamentary elections.
