The Election Commission (EC) unveiled the roadmap for holding the next general elections on Thursday afternoon.
The EC has divided its poll-related activities under 24 priority areas, which include constituency demarcation, voter list updating process, new political party registration and approving poll observers, said EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.
As per the roadmap, the election schedule would be announced in the first half of December, and the elections would be held in the first half of February next year.
