Education Adviser Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud has announced that specific educational qualifications will be required for individuals seeking positions in the managing committees of educational institutions in the country. He shared this information during the DC conference on Sunday (February 16) at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium.
Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud stated that individuals aspiring for positions in school management committees must have at least a Bachelor’s degree, while those seeking positions in college management committees must have a Master’s degree.
Regarding textbook distribution, the Education Adviser clarified that textbooks for subjects with no annual exams will be delivered to educational institutions by February. Additionally, books will be distributed earlier this year to remote areas.
Regarding teachers’ pension benefits, Dr. Mahmud mentioned that efforts are being made to facilitate teachers’ retirement pensions through bonds, to avoid placing a financial burden on the annual budget.
Liberty News’ national correspondent states that Dr. Mahmud acknowledged that many challenges remain in the education sector and emphasized that the government is focusing not only on infrastructure but also on improving the quality of education. He further stated that both the education and health sectors will be given priority in the upcoming budget.
