Despite demands from some students to postpone the SSC and equivalent exams, the Dhaka Education Board has firmly stated that the exams will commence as scheduled on April 10.

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee’s convener and Dhaka Board Chairman, Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, urged students to focus on their final preparations instead of engaging in protests or spreading misinformation on social media.

He emphasized that all preparations for the exams are complete, making any delay impossible at this stage. “At this moment, such protests are irrational,” he stated, adding that most students are prepared to sit for the exams, while a small group is allegedly attempting to incite disruption through social media rumors.

Earlier, on April 3, a group named “SSC Examinees 2025” issued a press release requesting a one-month postponement of the exams and a 3-4 day gap between each subject to help students better cope with Ramadan fasting and extreme heat. They expressed concerns over potential academic setbacks due to insufficient preparation time and harsh weather conditions.

However, according to the officially released schedule, the SSC, Dakhil, and SSC (Vocational) exams will begin on April 10, with 19,28,281 students taking part. The written exams for general education boards will conclude on May 13, while the Dakhil exams under the Madrasa Board will end on May 15, followed by practical exams until May 22.
