Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in various parts of Bangladesh, including the capital, in alignment with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. On Sunday morning, Eid congregations were held in multiple locations across Dhaka, Chandpur, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar, Madaripur, and Barishal.
In Dhaka, worshippers gathered at the Samarai Convention Center in Panthapath for Eid prayers at 7:30 AM. Following the prayer, they prayed for global peace and unity before exchanging greetings and embracing one another in celebration.
Similar congregations took place in other regions. The Eid prayer was offered at Moulvibazar Circuit House, while around 50 villages in Chandpur also observed the festival. In Madaripur, 30,000 people from 25 villages celebrated Eid.
The largest gathering in Madaripur occurred at 9:00 AM at Talluk Government Primary School field in Sadar Upazila’s Pachkhola Union. The prayer was led by Maulana Siddiqur Rahman, the imam of Char Kalikapur Farazi Bari Jame Mosque. Following the prayers, attendees exchanged Eid greetings, sharing joy and unity.
