The Election Commission (EC) launched election dialogue with poll experts at its head office in Agargaon, Dhaka on Tuesday morning.
Nine former EC officials and one election analyst have joined the talks. The participants are: former election official Mohammad Zakaria, election observer Muniya Khan, former election official Khandaker Mizanur Rahman, EC’s former joint secretary Mohammad Nuruzzaman Talukder, former election official Mihir Sarwar Morshed, former Dhaka district election officer Shah Alam, former election officer Mir Mohammad Shahjahan, EC’s former deputy secretary Mejbah Uddin Ahmed, EC’s former joint secretary Shahed Un Nabi Chowdhury, and former election officer Mahfuza Akter.
In the afternoon, the EC would also hold talks with around 40 women rights activists and women leaders. The election dialogues started on 28 September before the Durge Puja vacation.
The second phase was initiated on Monday with journalists joining the first round.
