BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the national parliament elections must be held by December.
“Citizens must continue to criticize the government constructively, ignoring threats. Every citizen must be vocal in demanding their rights. The people of the country are not at the mercy of the government. The government is bound to listen to the people and accept their just demands. There is no room for the government to be arrogant or angry,” said the BNP leader.
Tarique Rahman made the comments at a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 18th founding anniversary of the National People’s Party (NPP) at the capital’s Institution of Diploma Engineers on Sunday.
A documentary was screened at the meeting to highlight the party’s 18-year journey on its founding anniversary.
