After losing the first two T20Is, England bounced back with a crucial 26-run victory in the third match, keeping their hopes alive in the five-match series.
England fought back in the T20 series against India with a 26-run victory in the third match, reducing the deficit to 2-1 in the five-match series.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday, England posted a total of 171 runs. In reply, India’s innings was halted at 145 runs, thanks to England’s bowlers who kept the pressure on throughout.

Hardik Pandya top-scored for India with 40 runs off 35 balls, while Abhishek Sharma contributed 24 runs off 14 balls. England’s Jamie Overton was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 24 runs. Brydon Carse and Jofra Archer both took 2 wickets each.

Ben Duckett was the top performer with the bat for England, scoring 51 runs off 28 balls. Liam Livingstone also played a vital knock, making 43 runs off 24 balls. Jos Buttler finished with 45 runs from 22 balls.

Liberty News’ sports correspondent reports despite India’s loss, their spinner Varun Chakravarthy was named Player of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance, taking 5 wickets for 24 runs.
