Former housing and public works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain walked out of jail on Thursday afternoon after securing bail in all 12 cases filed against him.
Keraniganj Jail Superintendent AKM Masum confirmed the matter to Liberty News.
Mosharraf was in the prison cell of Bangladesh Medical University, and he was freed around 5:35pm.
The jail superintendent said Mosharraf had 12 cases against him and secured bail in all of them, with the last pending case filed with Paltan Police Station on Thursday.
He said the Awami League leader was released after scrutinising all the bail documents, and at that time, the prison guards were withdrawn as well.
