A Dhaka court on Monday placed former MP Sabina Akter Tuhin on two-day remand and the general secretary of Dhaka South City Awami League, Shah Alam Murad, on one-day remand in two separate cases.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bharda passed the order as the police sought five-day remand for Murad and seven-day remand for Tuhin.
Earlier on 17 April, Police Shah Alam Murad was arrested in Uttara, the capital, and Tihin was arrested on 22 June in the Nababganj area of the capital.
Murad was placed on remand in the Motaleb murder case during the anti-discrimination student movement filed under the Dhanmondi police station, while Tuhin was placed on remand in a case filed with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station under the Anti-terrorism Act.
