Sara Win Williams, a former senior employee of Facebook, has made serious allegations against the social media giant, accusing the company of data theft, employee mistreatment, and unethical behavior, particularly involving top executives’ dealings with China.

Sara Win Williams, a former high-ranking Facebook employee, has leveled severe accusations against the company, including data theft, employee mistreatment, and inappropriate behavior toward women. In her recently published book, Williams claims that Facebook’s top executives secretly shared information with China and engaged in various unethical practices to serve their own interests.

Williams alleges that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was willing to comply with the Chinese Communist government’s conditions to expand business in China. According to her, this plan was devised without informing the U.S. Senate. There were accusations that Facebook had granted China access to its servers, potentially compromising user privacy.

The former employee further criticized Facebook’s internal culture, describing it as “horrible.” She claims that employees were arbitrarily laid off and that mistreatment of women was a daily occurrence within the company. Additionally, Williams accused Zuckerberg and former COO Sheryl Sandberg of engaging in continuous corruption for personal gain.

In her book “Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Ideals,” Williams wrote, “Facebook is a place with a rotten corporate culture where ethics do not matter.”

Liberty News’ tech correspondent states that in response to the allegations, Meta (Facebook’s parent company) stated that it had not read Williams’ book. However, the company asserted that Williams was dismissed from Facebook in 2017, and an investigation at the time concluded that her claims were false.
