A man claiming to be a Home Affairs advisor has been arrested for fraud and various deceptions. The accused, identified as Zafar Iqbal (46), was apprehended by police during a raid in Khilkhet, Dhaka, on Friday night.

According to a press release issued by RAB, Zafar Iqbal used fake identities, including business cards, signatures, and seals, to impersonate high-profile officials such as the Home Affairs Advisor. He allegedly exploited this false identity to lure people with promises of government jobs, swindling large sums of money in the process.

RAB stated that Zafar Iqbal operated without a permanent office and used rented apartments as temporary workplaces. Additionally, he has a pending case against him at the Sadullapur Police Station, Gaibandha.
