A large deployment of army, RAB, Ansar and police personnel prevented the continuation of highway blockades in Faridpur’s Bhanga upazila on Sunday, easing the sufferings for people from other upazilas and districts.
Litu Mia, BNP’s general secretary at Hamirdi union, said the demonstrations have been “temporarily withdrawn,” and the next protest plan will be decided later in consultation with other organisers.
