A fire broke out at the Liberation War Museum in Agargoan early Monday morning, causing minimal damage. Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 45 minutes.
A fire erupted at the Liberation War Museum’s generator room on the ground floor at 9:00 AM due to an electrical fault. The Fire Service dispatched two units to the scene, managing to contain the fire by 9:46 AM.
Mofidul Haque, trustee of the museum, assured that the situation was quickly handled, with no significant damage reported. “The fire was controlled rapidly by the fire service. There has been no substantial damage, and museum operations are continuing as usual,” he said.
The fire originated from a short circuit that sparked in the generator room. According to Kohinoor Akter, the museum’s office secretary, the generator sustained some damage, but the fire did not spread beyond the room. There were no casualties, and the museum’s other exhibits remained unharmed.
