A devastating fire broke out at a plastic factory in the Islambagh area of Old Dhaka, triggering an emergency response from the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire originated around 1:30 pm on Wednesday (17 December).
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the scene to bring the blaze under control with four more units heading towards the spot, said Rozina Akter, control room duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The cause of the fire and details about casualties or damage could not be known immediately.
