Fire in Islambagh controlled after one hour

A fire that broke out in a building in Islambagh, Dhaka, was brought under control after more than an hour of intense firefighting efforts, though it has not been fully extinguished yet.

The fire, which started around 3:17 PM on Saturday, was first reported to the Fire Service. Their units arrived at the scene by 3:25 PM. A total of eight units from various stations, including Lalbagh, Hazaribagh, Polashi, and Siddikbazar, were deployed to tackle the blaze.

By 4:27 PM, the fire was under control, though it was not completely extinguished. No casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage is still unknown, according to Fire Service officials.

Liberty News’ local correspondent states that the authorities continue to work at the site to fully extinguish the fire and assess the damage.
