Food inflation in the country has slightly decreased. The supply of winter vegetables in the market has increased, leading to a drop in the prices of these items. Additionally, the policy interest rate has been raised, which is reflected in the prices of goods in the market, influencing inflation. Despite the decrease, food inflation remains above 10% for the past 10 months.
According to BBS data, the overall inflation in January of this year, on a point-to-point basis, was 9.94%, compared to 10.89% in December. This indicates a 0.95% decrease in general inflation compared to the previous month of December.
