Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a former female lawmaker and ex-assistant press secretary of the ousted Prime Minister from the city’s Jigatola area on Sunday.
The detainees include – Krishak League leader and former lawmaker Advocate Shamima Akhter Khanam and former assistant press secretary to ex-premier Sheikh Hasina Ashraf Siddiqui Bitu.
Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman told BSS that they were arrested in two separate raids at Jigatola this noon.
