Barrister Turin Afroz, a former prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, has been arrested by police from Uttara West Police Station in Dhaka. She has been named as an accused in a case involving an attempted murder of students and civilians.
Police conducted a late-night raid at her residence on Road 11, Sector 3 of Uttara around 11:30 PM on Monday, during which she was taken into custody. The arrest was confirmed by Officer-in-Charge of Uttara West Police Station, Hafizur Rahman, to Liberty News
According to police sources, Barrister Afroz is accused in multiple murder cases linked to anti-discrimination movements. Acting on intelligence reports, law enforcement officials launched the operation at her home. She is currently being brought to the Uttara West Police Station for further proceedings.
