At least 35 Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours as relentless Israeli airstrikes continued to pound Gaza, pushing the death toll of the latest wave of attacks beyond 2,300 since mid-March.
The besieged Gaza Strip remains under heavy Israeli bombardment, with the Palestinian Health Ministry confirming that 35 more civilians lost their lives in the last 24 hours alone. An additional 109 people were injured, bringing the total number of wounded since October 2023 to over 118,000.
Since the resumption of intense aerial assaults on March 18, following the collapse of a short-lived truce brokered under international pressure, Israeli forces have killed more than 2,300 people and injured nearly 6,000. The strikes have devastated homes, hospitals, and schools across the war-torn enclave.
According to the UN, approximately 85% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, with most infrastructure either partially or completely destroyed. Rescue efforts continue to be hampered, as many victims remain trapped beneath rubble or stranded in streets inaccessible to emergency services.
In January 2025, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. Meanwhile, the International Court of Justice is proceeding with a genocide case filed against Israel.
Despite mounting global condemnation, Israeli warplanes still dominate Gaza’s skies, as the humanitarian catastrophe deepens with no ceasefire in sight.
