A General Diary (GD) was filed against cricket star Taskin Ahmed at Mirpur Model Police Station on Monday over allegations of assault and issuing threats.
The complaint was lodged by a man named Sifatur Rahman Sourave, confirmed Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajjadur Rahman of Mirpur Model Police Station.
According to the OC, the incident took place on Sunday night in front of Sony Cinema Hall.
“Taskin allegedly called Sifatur to the location, punched him, and issued threats,” said the OC, citing the contents of the GD. “Police are currently investigating the matter.”
Meanwhile, Taskin has denied all allegations against him, stating that the “reality is different” from what is being circulated.
“I request everyone not to be misled by rumours. A lot is being said about me allegedly raising my hand on a childhood friend. I believe people should not believe in such rumours or spread them,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
