Germany has temporarily relocated its embassy staff in Tehran to an undisclosed location abroad, citing heightened security concerns amid escalating regional tensions.

A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry confirmed the move on Saturday, stating that the embassy remains operational and accessible to German nationals in Iran via telephone. Officials said they will continue to advise German citizens on available options to leave the country, including overland routes.

The decision follows a similar move by the United Kingdom and other nations on Friday (20 June), as Israeli airstrikes on Tehran have intensified in recent days.

The relocations reflect growing international concern over the safety of diplomatic personnel as the Iran-Israel conflict enters a more dangerous phase.
