Hassnat Abdullah, a key leader of the National Political Party (NCP), declared that the party will correct its mistakes without hesitation, stating that they will listen to the people and amend errors without “ifs” or “buts.”
The newly formed National Political Party (NCP) has announced its Central Committee, including top leaders from the July Movement. The committee represents a broad spectrum of political and social ideologies, including moderates, right-wing, left-wing, Jamaat, and indigenous leaders, as well as women’s leadership. The leadership comprises 16 Joint Convenors, 32 Joint General Secretaries, 12 Joint Chief Organizers, 44 Organizers, 14 Joint Chief Coordinators, and 43 General Members.
Hassnat Abdullah, one of the prominent leaders and Chief Organizer (South), took to social media to share the party’s core values. “Before politics, my identity is that of a Muslim, and I will always hold this identity,” he said. He emphasized that the NCP would never engage in any politics that goes against religious values.
In his post, he assured that the party would acknowledge and correct any mistakes it makes, taking public feedback seriously: “We are not infallible. If we make a mistake, treat us like your brothers and point it out. We will correct our mistakes without any ‘if’, ‘but’, or ‘or’.”
Liberty News’ political correspondent states that the party’s central leadership includes Mohammad Nahid Islam as Convener, Akhtar Hossain as General Secretary, and senior leaders like Samantha Sharmin, Ariful Islam Adeb, Tasnim Zara, and others in key positions. NCP, made up of young leaders, has promised a new political culture, prioritizing public opinion, religious values, and national interests. How effectively these principles are implemented will be closely watched.
