The Health Sector Reform Commission formally submitted its report to Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at 11:00 AM on Monday, aiming to address key challenges in Bangladesh’s healthcare system.

The Health Sector Reform Commission, established by the interim government, submitted its long-awaited report to Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Monday morning, according to Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.

The 12-member commission, led by Bangladesh Diabetic Association President Professor A.K. Azad Khan, was formed to propose actionable reforms for improving healthcare delivery across the country. The commission includes top medical professionals, former bureaucrats, and a medical student to ensure a diverse perspective.

Notable members include Professor Dr. Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Professor Dr. Liakat Ali, Professor Dr. Sayeba Akhter, Professor Dr. Naila Zaman Khan, former Secretary S.M. Reza, Professor Dr. Mozaffarul Haque, Dr. Azharul Islam Khan, Professor Dr. Syed Md. Akram Hossain, Professor Dr. Syed Atikul Haque, Dr. Ahmed Ehsanur Rahman, and Umayer Afif, a fifth-year student from Dhaka Medical College.
