HEED Bangladesh distributes one-time financial aid and scholarships

Ramzan Ali, Companiganj correspondent : In a bid to improve the quality of life for underprivileged families, HEED Bangladesh, through its Basurhat branch in Companiganj, Noakhali, has distributed one-time financial assistance to 11 impoverished families and awarded an education scholarship to a meritorious student.

The aid was distributed at the HEED Bangladesh Basurhat branch office on Tuesday at 3 PM. A total of Tk 43,000 was disbursed among the beneficiaries. Of the recipients, five individuals received Tk 5,000 each, six others received Tk 3,000 each, and a scholarship cheque of Tk 2,000 was awarded to one student.

Present at the distribution ceremony were Mohammad Dil Islam, Regional Manager of HEED Bangladesh (Noakhali Region), Mohammad Limon, Regional Accountant, Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Companiganj Branch Manager, Subrata Deb Bhawali, Branch Accountant, and Loan Officers Sonia Akter, Soniya, and Rajib. Local dignitaries and representatives from various NGOs and voluntary organizations also attended the event.

Ashik, the scholarship recipient, expressed his gratitude and said the financial support would play a significant role in achieving his higher education goals.

Regional Manager Mohammad Dil Islam stated, “Today we have provided one-time financial aid to 11 underprivileged families and awarded a scholarship to a deserving student pursuing higher education.”

He further added that Ashik would continue receiving a monthly stipend of Tk 2,000 until the completion of his studies. “HEED Bangladesh stands by you and will continue to do so,” he affirmed.
