A writ petition was filed on Thursday with the High Court (HC) seeking speedy legal actions against those involved in the mass looting of white stones in Sada Pathor area of Sylhet.
The HC bench of Justice Fahmida Kader and Justice Syed Jahed Mansur has fixed Sunday for hearing the petition filed by Advocate Mir AKM Nurunnabi.
The writ calls on the HC to ensure investigation into the three-month looting is completed within 15 days, and seeks the deployment of additional law enforcers on the site.
