Home Affairs Advisor, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, said, “Those who are devils will be caught in the Devil Hunt. Law enforcement officers have not been spared. The operation will continue until the devils are freed.“
He made these statements while speaking to the media at the Rajshahi District Commissioner’s office after a meeting with various forces regarding the law and order situation in Rajshahi on Monday afternoon.
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, ‘In the Devil Hunt operation, measures have been taken to ensure that no innocent person is punished. Multiple committees have been formed for this purpose.’
The Home Affairs Advisor stated that the prices of essential goods will remain reasonable during Ramadan, as the supply of chickpeas and dates is good. Regarding the role of the people of Chapainawabganj in the face of Indian aggression at the border, the Home Affairs Advisor expressed satisfaction, saying, ‘We are pleased with this. However, no one should take the law into their own hands.’
Senior police officers, as well as senior officials of the army, BGB, and RAB stationed in Rajshahi, were present at the meeting.
