Hostage exchange : 3 Israelis and 5 Thais to be released

Under the Hamas-Israel ceasefire agreement, 8 hostages may be released today, Thursday (January 30). According to the list provided by Hamas, among them are 3 Israelis and 5 Thai nationals.

Among the three Israelis are the notable Arbel Yahud, as well as military observer Agam Berger and 80-year-old Gadi Moses.

In the third phase, 110 Palestinians are expected to be released, including at least 30 women and children. There is also a possibility of the release of several Palestinians serving life sentences.

The Thai government has confirmed that six of their citizens are held captive in Gaza. It is believed that two may have lost their lives.

Liberty News’ international correspondent reports that the ceasefire in Gaza took effect on January 19. In the first two phases, seven Israeli women were released in exchange for 290 Palestinians.
