A housemaid was found dead early Friday at the residence of businessman Kazi Akram Uddin in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. The deceased, identified as 50-year-old Farida Begum, worked at the home of the former chairman of Standard Bank and ex-president of FBCCI, police confirmed.

Police recovered the body from a flat on Road 47, House 20, following a call to the national emergency helpline ‘999’ at dawn.
