A woman named Nur Begum (38) was fatally stabbed by her husband following a domestic dispute in Baharchhara, Teknaf, on Wednesday night.
Nur Begum, daughter of late Lal Mia from Karachipara village in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf, was critically injured after being repeatedly stabbed by her husband, Abdur Rahim.
She was rushed to Teknaf Health Complex, where doctors declared her dead. Teknaf Model Police Station’s Baharchhara outpost in-charge, Inspector Shovon Kumar Saha, confirmed the incident.
According to police reports, Abdur Rahim fled the scene after attacking his second wife. Sub-Inspector Laxman Chandra Barman later sent the body for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, police have yet to arrest any suspects, despite two women being killed in separate incidents in Teknaf within a day.
