IFIC Bank PLC, one of Bangladesh’s leading financial institutions, has launched a nationwide essay competition titled ‘IFIC EcoSolve’ to raise awareness and find solutions to pressing environmental challenges. The competition, which recently commenced, will run until February 10, 2025.
Under the theme “Your Community, Your Responsibility,” the initiative aims to inspire students to deeply reflect on their surroundings and propose long-term solutions. Organizers believe that this effort will cultivate responsible young citizens who are committed to sustainable development and environmental conservation.
Students from schools, colleges, madrasas, and universities are invited to participate by sharing their insights on critical issues such as water, sanitation, and drainage systems.
As rapid urbanization and climate change intensify water shortages, pollution, and inadequate waste management, IFIC EcoSolve provides a vital platform for young minds to highlight local environmental challenges and propose realistic, actionable solutions.
Liberty News’ economic correspondent states that beyond fostering environmental awareness, the competition seeks to instill a strong sense of social responsibility among youth, making IFIC EcoSolve more than just a contest—it’s a movement for a greener and more sustainable future.
