Security measures have been increased around the Supreme Court area in response to incidents of vandalism, attacks, and counterattacks in various parts of the country. The army, police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed.
Based on information that murals in the High Court area might be destroyed, extra security was strengthened from the morning of Saturday, February 8. Additionally, intelligence surveillance has been increased.
On-site observations show that police and army personnel, along with other equipment, have been deployed at every entrance to the court. No one is being allowed entry without urgent necessity. A search operation is also ongoing.
