Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims worldwide, is being celebrated across South Asia, including Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, today (Monday). Amid the festivities, Rajasthan witnessed a rare and inspiring sight—Hindu individuals clad in saffron attire showering rose petals on worshippers heading to the Eidgah for prayers.
A viral video circulating on social media shows a massive Eid congregation on an open street, with nearly a hundred thousand worshippers. As they perform their prayers, Hindu men dressed in saffron robes can be seen throwing flower petals in a gesture of goodwill.
The video, reportedly from an Eid prayer gathering in Rajasthan, was captured at an Eidgah on Delhi Road in Jaipur district. Like other Indian states, Rajasthan also maintained tight security for Eid prayers. Despite this, the spontaneous act of interfaith unity stood out, reinforcing the spirit of communal harmony.
The footage was shared by news agency ANI and quickly gained traction online. Thousands of people have shared and commented on it, praising the touching moment. One user, Ali Mohammad, remarked, “There is no problem between Muslims and Hindus in our country, but selfish politicians create issues for their own benefit.”
