Toby Cadman, the special advisor to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, Mohammad Tajul Islam, stated that India should stand for justice by returning the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, following the student-led uprising. He expressed this view after meeting with the Chief Prosecutor at the tribunal on January 27.

Liberty News’ court correspondent reports that in response to a journalist’s query, Cadman emphasized that it would be India’s decision whether to support impunity or justice.

Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam also revealed that arrest warrants have been issued for eight individuals, including six police officers, in connection with the July-August genocide case.
