India is set to visit Bangladesh this August for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, marking the teams’ first bilateral T20 series on Bangladeshi soil. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially released the full schedule.
According to the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP), the Indian national cricket team, led by stars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, will land in Dhaka on August 13. The tour will kick off with a three-match ODI series, followed by three T20 internationals.
The first two ODIs will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on August 17 and 20. The third ODI is scheduled for August 23 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Following the ODI series, the T20 leg will begin on August 26 in Chattogram. The final two T20s will be played at the Mirpur stadium on August 29 and 31.
This series marks a historic occasion as it will be Bangladesh’s first bilateral T20 series against India at home. Team India is expected to depart on September 1 after the conclusion of the series.
