India has expressed dissatisfaction over recent comments made by the Press Secretary to Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, calling them politically motivated and damaging to bilateral ties, according to reports by leading Indian media outlets.

Prominent Indian newspapers such as The Times of India and Hindustan Times, citing diplomatic sources, have reported India’s discontent over remarks made by the Press Secretary of Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser. The comments were described as “harmful” and “politically driven,” sparking concern in New Delhi.

According to The Times of India, diplomatic sources stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized the progress in bilateral relations since 2014. He has described the relationship between the two nations as a “deep friendship” rooted in shared values and people-to-people connections.

India is reportedly viewing the press secretary’s remarks as potentially disruptive to the cordial relationship that both countries have nurtured over the past decade. While no official statement has yet been made by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, sources indicate that the issue may be raised through diplomatic channels in the coming days.

Analysts believe the incident could prompt discussions between Dhaka and New Delhi to reaffirm their mutual commitment to maintaining strong and respectful diplomatic ties.
