Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated sharply after a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, with Indian Air Force Rafale jets reportedly retreating upon encountering Pakistani F-16s near the Kashmir border.

Amid heightened military tensions following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, four Indian Rafale fighter jets were reportedly forced to retreat after spotting Pakistani F-16 aircraft patrolling the area. The incident occurred as both nations remain on high alert, with intelligence sources suggesting India may launch a military operation within the next 36 hours.

According to Pakistan’s state-run PTV News, the Indian Air Force (IAF) jets were flying close to the Line of Control (LoC) during a routine patrol when they detected the presence of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets. Although the Rafales did not cross the LoC, Pakistani defense sources claim the PAF swiftly identified the Indian aircraft and activated a defensive posture, prompting the Indian jets to withdraw.

The report comes just hours after Pakistani Information Minister Ataullah Tarar stated in a press briefing that reliable intelligence indicates a possible Indian strike within the next 24 to 36 hours. The situation remains volatile, with both nations reinforcing their military readiness along the contested border region.
